South Beach being now managed by JW Marriott, it calls for a Spa to be included to meet the operation requirements of the hotel. For this purpose an entire level of guestrooms on the 2nd Level was converted into the spa.

In line with Marriott’s new concept, the Spa at JW Marriott South Beach, Singapore is a temple for restoration of one’s mind and body in an urban hospitality establishment, where the benefits of the spa on one’s health and well-being should be no mystery.

The whole project takes on a stance to demystify the spa experience by taking the guest on a journey that is simple and approachable.

Changing Area & Lounge
Natural materials and a light refreshing palette, comprising of oiled matt cross-cut timber mosaic, against a seamless poured terrazzo floor guides guests into the spa reception, juxtaposed against armourcoat plaster and grey timber veneer walls.
Whilst privacy is highly valued and sacred in any spa design, the design of JW Marriott South Bridges’ challenged the norm to ensure there was a certain lightness and fluidity to the spaces without compromising the guest experience. It was simple and approachable, where focus was done to ensure to make it effortlessly comfortable, private and not intimidating.
The rooms are sophisticated and warm without being pretentious and fussy favored by other spas. The interiors are designed to sustain and restore the guest’s personal equilibrium. For an uncluttered space, all the equipment and storage were planned to be integrated into the joinery.
